Board of Health meetings starting at 6:30 p.m are scheduled every other Thursday evening. Occasionally a meeting may be cancelled due to a lack of a quorum or holiday so call ahead.
Additional meetings may be added as necessary. Meetings are open to the public and take place at the T.O.H.P. Burnham Public Library, Town Hall, 30 Martin Street, Essex, MA. Entrance is via the handicap ramp on the right side of the building . Items for review at the meeting must be submitted to the Board of Health office no later than the Monday preceding the meeting date for review by the Administrator to the Board of Health. Items needing additional time due to depth of review, missing information or current Department workload may not be on the agenda for the upcoming meeting. We will do our best to accommodate you in meeting your deadlines.
If you wish to discuss an issue with the Board, you must make an appointment no later than the morning of the day prior to the scheduled meeting. Appointments may be made in writing, in person, by phone or by email to boh@essexma.org .
